As part of Science week, the older Nursery and Reception children went on a trip to Nower woods to go on a Badger's day out.
Josie, Karen and Louisa shared information and some lovely photos and videos of badgers that they have capture in Nower woods. In groups, we had a fun game of sorting food as something badgers eat and don't eat. We then went off on a minibeast hunt, turning logs in search for badger food. We found some woodlice, worms, spiders, beetles and a slug. We then went on the badger trail and spotted a wooden carving of a badger and a deer. We also collected different shapes and sizes of leaves that we took back to school to make into a badger crown. It has been a wonderful badgers day out.
