A most enjoyable day was had by all. It started with a coach journey of 1 and a half hours; all children were very excited. As soon as we got to the beach, we had a safety talk by the life guard who pointed out what the flags mean and the danger spots. He also told us where we could swim, but of course we only paddled our toes.
Everyone played by the water’s edge for about 45 minutes with the children entertaining themselves by digging holes, collecting treasure and Adil arranging a cricket match.
Lunch was a bit sandy but enjoyable as everyone was very hungry by now. The rest of the day was spent digging holes, making castles and sand sculptures, and of course Mr Kargl enjoyed playing cricket with a group. Last but not least we all enjoyed an ice cream; who can go to the beach without having one?
