Year 3 & 4 Boys Cricket vs The Mall School

Friday 30th June 2017

Our ‘A’ and ‘B’ teams played matches against Mr Wood’s old school. On balance, the games were fairly evenly matched, but due to lack of numbers we had to recruit some Year 5 boys to play in our ‘A’ team. This tipped things in our favour slightly, and we managed to win the game comfortably by 41 runs with some strong batting. Thank you to Ilyas who stepped into the role of Captain due to Ibrahim becoming unwell.

The ‘B’ team struggled with fielding in their game. Bowling accuracy is a target for improvement with these boys and a little more tactical understanding would be helpful. However, with most of the team coming from Year 3 there is time for this development to happen. Congratulations to The Mall who won by 37 runs.
